Deputy Director, Dr. Felycia Edi Soetaredjo of our Taiwan-Indonesia Science and Technology Innovation Center (STIC) visited the Resource Circulation Administration (RECA), Ministry of Environment (MOE), Taiwan, on October 6. We were honored to be received by the Director General, Dr. Ying-Ying Lai of RECA, who is in charge of waste reduction, resource recycling and utilization, as well as cleanup and disposal operations.
Director General Lai promised to give full support to our STIC in every aspect, and she accepted our cordial invitation for her to visit Indonesia in 2024. The RECA will participate in the webinar of “Green Factory/Enterprise Label System” scheduled on October 30 in collaboration with East Java Provincial Government.
The RECA takes “Resource Recycling and Zero Waste” as the governing principle, and is committed to promote:
- waste prevention by green design,
- resource circulation,
- value-added treatment of waste,
- sound functioning the circulation network, and
- innovative technologies and systems
There are several key topics for prospective collaboration between Taiwan and Indonesia among Governments, industries, and academia. Our STIC is eagerly looking forward to building the partnership network between Taiwan and Indonesia
